Silent Movie Accompaniment

Accompanying Harold Lloyd's film 'Safety Last' at the Opera House, Blackpool.

David has been accompanying silent film since the early 1970s. He was fortunate to have known and worked with musicians who actually played in the days of the silent cinema. It was from these vintage performers that David learnt the accompanist's art. He also inherited a large library of original 'photoplay' music, which he uses to give authenticity to his performances.
